Good Life Story...
Blaise Winter
First of all how the heck do you get a cool name like Blaise? (he informed me his mother named him after St. Blaise) He spoke at today's meeting and he has quite a story of having a cleft pallet and hearing loss being teased to the point of hiding behind his mother all the time. He was forced to try Basketball and his coach informed him that he's too rough and should try another sport. Football is where he landed and enjoyed himself. Some may say he's over the top but he insists he lives life to its fullest. I agree with him, he's a good guy.
I told him I liked Hockey better than football (hence the head lock)

Winter Warmth...
Where do I begin?
It has been a cold snowy winter, a winter of my youth if you will.
We basically heat our home with a wood fired stove in our lower level. The bad side of that is physically seeing the wood pile slowly dwindle. Kim and I become wood hoarders always looking for that wood deal to get us through the winter. The good side is our 21 dollar gas bills, the smell, the romance of a flame, the satisfaction of getting up in the morning, opening the stove door and seeing a beautiful bed of coals to stack more wood on. Now on to my heart. I left home this morning to get to Wisconsin to beat the blizzard they were expecting so I sadly missed Church this morn and also missed lunch with the kids and my folks. Great Aunt Donna finished the quilt for Laura and Jim's addition due in March. Kim did a fine job of replacing me behind the camera and got some sweet shots of Great Grandma Joanne and Amelia sitting at the piano, nice job Kim. Speaking of Kim, I get home from this show on Wednesday and Kim once again is off the same day. This time to Egypt and the Holy Land. Should be a good trip but it will be over 3 weeks before I see her again. She gets home on March 4th but I leave March 3rd for NYC.Odd to think about but we do what we have to. So even though I sit in a 54 dollar a night EconoLodge watching a snow storm outside of my window, I have to say, I'm pretty dang warm.

Not a bad Valentine's Day...
Valentine's Day for Kim and myself has never been a big deal because everyday is so filled with love. To set a day aside to honor love seems silly to us...
ok, yeah right.
We went to Stillwater to have dinner and see a duo headline of Mike Heaton and John Austin They did a great job, John even brought me up to do a tune with him
