Before there was Elvis...
There was Dick Contino. Who is Dick Contino? well I'll tell ya. This cat has been on the Ed Sullivan show 48 times and has been entertaining accordion lovers world wide for over 65 years. Tonight happened to be the 20th anniversary of the Chicago Accordion Club Dad played the pre-show walk in music so Kim and I went to enjoy an evening of music and sights. Dick's outfit was amazing 'nuf said. Enjoy the pics.

You the man. You win. WHAT? (Doug was going to do the sound for this gig, but Dad said Doug's price was too expensive. So instead we had horrible sound that still is impacting my hearing. I never saw so many geezers fussing with their hearing aids trying to turn them down as I did last night. Bad sound. Bad bad BAD sound.)
Dang. I was in town two weeks too late!
Dad loved my price the Club thought it was too much. Dad wasn't happy about the sound either.
