The cost of doing business...

For a while now I have been reading the blog of my too smart nephew Christopher T and I have to admit unless he's talking about poop or other things I find humorous, I glaze over a little. You see he comments on economics, world politics and such. Things I know are important but because I have no economic rewards, i.e.money, I don't really "get it".
Today's meeting that I ran a camera for featured keynote speaker Arthur Laffer, the guy who came up with the "Laffer curve" which I only knew from Ferris Bueller "anyone, anyone?...the Laffer curve". I started thinking about how much money it takes to do certain things. Our gear alone...

150,000.00 dollars worth of projectors, not kidding

7000 dollars worth of Fiber DVI cable. Fragile enough that when the truss was raised we all had to grab a coil to baby it up to the ceiling.

200,000.00 on a sales show

Here's my cost of doing business...
Time away from these guys. Mine is much more costly.

I can see that Olive is experiencing "trickle down" economics.

Sucks sometimes. Doesn't it?

Priceless.

Olive is just expressing how I sometimes feel (although not often as of late).

Farmers got to see their families every night, sometimes even at lunch. Nowadays, not so much.

And yes, that is a high cost.

How was Laffer? I like his curve, though it seems like a self-evident truth at this point...

Laffer was interesting. He made 2 comments that I wanted to hear more about...
1. The US Dollar will be strong again in about 2 years.
(what proof, I have no idea)
2. A flat tax rate would seriously stimulate the economy. I wanted to hear more about that.

I am not wise enough to comment on either.
