Home Sweet Home...

It's been a grueling 3 weeks out for MS. I am home now for 10 days, woohoo!
Next Monday the tour finishes out with 6 more cities, home on Dec 16th.
You do what ya gotta do, right?

Very cool. . .both the pictures, and the fact that you're home. Enjoy the time.

What, no pictures of the BSoD?

So what do you do for any unnamed company that you do things for? I see you taking pix from the back of the room, using a 16-channel board and some wireless stuff. What's your role? Just interested - looks geeky and fun.

And that conference in NYC looks pretty under-attended. A little over half full? Somebody in marketing didn't do a great job.

I am the technical producer of this show thing...
The first 75 minutes is multi speakers,demos,videos...
I call the cues for it from the board. I fly from city to city where a truck of geekdom meets me. We build the room and that's about it. The NYC was the afternoon session where it's purely code writing, that draws about 50 people per city. The mornings have about 300. My job is a one stop shop, delivery boy, manual labor,AV tech, producer, whipping boy gig. Houston, Dallas, Reston VA, Boston, Irvine and Seattle are left.

BSoD was at a different event. This event has just locked up 4 laptops during the shows to where people look at me. "hey, I just project what you give me"

Here's the company I contract for

Pretty cool! The "truck of geekdom" - I imagine they smoke digital cigars.

That's a neat job. A day to set it up, a day to do it, and tear down that evening or the next day. Then fly.

Is the hardware yours, or does it belong to CavComm? Because if it's yours, maybe you could contract directly with (somecompany). Although the headaches with that . . .
